Intro

Life can seem terrifying and even impossible, at times. This might seem like such a time. It might even get worse (again), soon.

How impossible is it to move ahead when you don't know which direction 'ahead' is? We have so much to deal with here in the US, even as the nation's leader: police abuse, misuse of authority, some 40% of us still unemployed or underemployed. Uncertainty. Deaths.

We are collectively, exhausted, burned out, lonesome, worn out. All we have to keep us on track is the 'moral character' that started our nation - this pandemic should make us refocus on what is significant, and throw out what is trivial.

We can't dwell on credit scores, or references, and we must be extra vigilant against police or judicial violence, evil, or corruption. We have to share what we have, and let go of old stereotypes of who is a 'good' tenant or a 'good' hire or  a 'good' person. Because in any disaster, we don't need perfect credit next to us. That never saved anyone. That's just a myth made up by banks and credit companies to trick those who cannot afford to pay them, into putting bank profits ahead of critical needs: food, shelter, transportation, education, child care.

The real skillsets we need in this pandemic are intelligence, curiosity and innovation, honor, integrity, logistics, economics, defense, biomed R&D, and aid management.

And prosecutors not afraid to go after every last 'bad' or evil police, deputy, or judge; even if it's not a big sexy case, but just some unknown person's life at stake.

We need more housing  -  if (some) tenants are free to stay without paying, and homeowners are free to miss mortgage payments, no one will move. New (affordable) housing is not freed up. But more of us are without jobs,  more of us are moving to try to find work, and there's nowhere to live.

And we need more than ever, people not afraid to take risks. To try new things.

And we need our government to support these risks and risktakers.

Not the large corporate biomed who forego working on therapeutics because 'the margin just isn't there,' but the tiny individuals or small companies who know how to save lives and turn this pandemic around .. but who are not being funded, because the money and $2 billion ad budgets are not there.

Corporations will always be around. They care about themselves.

The inventors and visionaries we need to save us, will not always be around.

They are an endangered species. They care about all of us.

And the ideas we need have a very limited shelf-life.

TIMING IS EVERYTHING, IN INNOVATION AND IN LIFE.

IF SOMEONE HAD KILLED HITLER BEFORE HE GOT STARTED..?

WHEN SOMEONE KILLED HITLER AFTER THE WAR, WHAT DID THAT DO?

Therefore encourage one another and build each other up as you are already doing.

– Philippians 2:4

Carry one another's burdens..

 1 Thessalonians 5:11

The burden is equal to the horse's strength.

the Talmud

Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to act.

– Proverb 3:27
