Cap-Hill-Security

Our Jan 6th Security Review and Advisory

Our security and counter-terrorism training and advisory includes partnering with US and Israeli paramilitary colleagues to provide urban warfare, intellgence, and custom technology training and services for a range of resopnder teams and audiences. For MPD in particular, we have offered specialized training in crowd intelligence, gang speak and gang intelligence, pattern recognition, and pre-event planning and capabilities.

Our recommendations to the US Congress, Washington Military Authority, and DC Mayor's Office:

  • Issue public warnings that violence would not be tolerated and in future, demonstrators with weapons or making public threat would be shot to kill. In the same manner that US Marines would shoot to kill anyone attacking a US embassy.

  • Equip Capitol Hill and other critical area MPD with assault weapons and empower them to fire at public threats.

  • Incorporate US military satellite and C5ISR technologies to provide real-time situtional views of potential threat elements including parked cars, suspicious activities (planting the pipe bombs), etc.

  • Implement Urban Warfare or Military Assault training, whether conducted by USMC or private government contractors, to train and condition police into the split-second responses that would safeguard lives in future events.

  • Install facial recognition cameras, AI monitoring, and weapons detectors at Union Station. Forbid assault weapons on trains in and out of DC. (Not currently done.)

But more importantly, they highlighted the need for an "Intelligence Mindset' and trained responders

The taped footage of the January 6, 2021 attacks on the US Congress was emotionally traumatic and extremely difficult to watch. MPD personnel (District of Columbia police officers) on site called urgently for back-up 17 times! Unprecedented.

What was immediately apparent was the lack of attack equipment - assault weapons, water cannons, even LRADs (long-range hailing devices used for crowd dispersement in the US and UK) - for the MPD and Capitol Hill police. They had also, allegedly, been told 'not to fire' on the crowd, by the single individual in charge, former MPD Chief Peter Newsham. And so police officers and civilians were killed.

The nation is blessed that none of the protesters fired assault weapons on members of Congress, or used other domestic terror capabilities.

Our CEO and others (with US military and intelligence experience and training expertise), had tried repeatedly before the riots to urge former Chief Newsham to refresh his personnel with specialized 'urban warfare' and intelligence training and capabiltiies. And to  change MPD and HSEMA view of the District of Columbia from that of 'policing'  a small town to guarding one of the top 3 terrorist targets in the world, and the top terrorist target in the US.

Our CEO had received US Oval Office merit recognition for her September 11, 2001 intelligence and counter-intelligence service. And with US Defense Contractor colleagues and Israeli IDF and civilian colleagues, has provided training and intelligence coaches to USMC-Quantico, US DOJ, the US State Department, and the US Department of Defense.
